A lot can happen in a month. Mommy, daddy and I moved in with nanny and poppy for a little bit until our new apartment is ready. It sure was a busy time trying to get out of the old apartment. Uncle Aaron came over one day to help daddy take all the heavy stuff and put it into a truck, I helped a little too by throwing my toys out of the way of their feet! Mommy was really busy with packing everything up with her friends Crystal and Nicole. Daddy's friends Jaccob and Nathan helped him and uncle Aaron put all the stuff into a storage place! After all of that hard work it still wasn't done yet. Daddy had another friend, Jason, come over to help him move some things and then nanny and poppy came over too. Finally everything was done and then I spent the night with nanny and poppy because mommy and daddy had to go to a wedding in Cape Breton. Nanny and poppy's place sure does look different with all that carpet gone! They were busy laying hardwood floors upstairs so I could have a carpet free environment to live in for a bit. My visits to the doctor's don't seem to happen as often. Mommy and daddy keep saying the word "vaccines" when they talk about our next appointment so I think something scary is going to happen but I'm not worried! I think my immune system really works great now! Oh, guess what? I know how to use my legs to get me around now! It took a lot of courage for me to let go of the furniture and move but I did it! It's a lot funner to get around this way. I don't know if its any quicker than crawling but it makes me look like a bigger boy! I sure do miss all my toys though, pots, pans and tupperware can only keep a person busy for so long! I really can't wait for my baby sister to get here, at least then I will always have someone to play with! Well that's all for now. We will talk again soon!

Hi everyone! Again, it's been a long time since I've written to you all. Things are still moving right along for me. I now only have to go to the hospital every 3 weeks. My aunts and uncles are allowed to interact with me now! The doctor even said that my cousins can hold me as long as they wear a mask, I've been waiting to play with my cousins for a long time! I think I can start going to more public places now too as long as mommy and daddy are careful. For now I think we will just take baby steps into that transition but it's good to have the doctor's permission! Mommy is always on the computer talking about places to live so I think we will be moving soon. As long as I get my own bedroom and all my toys come with us then it doesn't matter to me! Oh, since I last wrote, mommy has taken me to nana and papa's house in Cape Breton. It was great to go visit them at their house for a change! Next time I go there I can play with my cousins! It sure has been a long road for me but I am enjoying every day that I'm not in that hospital! Thank you everyone for helping me and for helping my mommy and daddy! We love you all very much! Maybe I will have some even bigger news next time I write! Let's hope!

Hey everyone! Very long time no blog. Sorry about the big break but I've been so busy these days. I can go outside with mom and dad a lot now. My grandparents visit me a lot and they are allowed to hold me and play with me without all the masks, gowns, and gloves! My uncles and aunts are allowed to see me now too and hopefully within a year I can see all my cousins! Keep your fingers crossed for me. Since my last post I had my first birthday party! It was awesome! My grandparents all came over tohave some supper and cake with me. I wasn't too sure what to think about the cake stuff at first but once I got my hands into it I realised it wasn't so bad. It was just really nice to be home celebrating my first birthday with my family. There are a lot of little boys and girls who don't get to do that so I am very thankful for that. I put a new picture on the home page for everyone. Its not a really new picture but atleast its not a picture of me when I was a really sick boy. Things at home are very good! I am walking around the furniture now and chewing on it too! I only have 3 teeth to chew with but I can sure do some damage with them! I like to open up all the doors in the house, especially the little ones in the kitchen. Those doors are easy to open and they have cool things inside them. Dad keeps saying he is going to lock them up whatever that means. Mom and dad say that I dont say a lot of things yet but I dont know what they're talking about because I talk all day long! I guess they dont understand me. I still go to the hospital every second week to make sure my blood looks good. So far eveything must be going pretty good because the doctors keep lifting restrictions. A couple of weeks ago I spent the weekend with my grandparents because mom and dad won a trip to Toronto thanks to the Cambridge Suites. I really missed them but it was nice to spend so much time with my nannies and poppies. There were some men with video cameras taping mom, dad and I. They said it will be on the web site for cambridge suites eventually. When it's on there I will try to remember to tell everyone! Anyway I guess thats all I have to say for now. I'm growing up and getting busier but as always I will try my best to put something on here for everyone when I can!

Well, I know it's been a while since I kept everyone updated but mommy promised me this time that she will help me write. It's been a very exhausting life so far but finally I get to start taking it a bit easier. My counts have been holding thier own and to date my lymphocyte count is 1100. Dr Issekutz said he wants them to be atleast 1500 so I am slowly getting there. We are going to be doing another test next month to see how many of Gabby's cells I have. Right now it's only 64% but the Dr's said the other 36% of my own cells are still working a little bit on thier own because the good cells are cleaning up my bad cells so they aren't as toxic to me as they used to be. I'm really on the move now too! I like to climb all over mommy and daddy but I haven't mastered it on the floor yet. The ladies who see me at the hospital and make me exercise said I'm doing well. I'm a little behind still but they aren't worried. Other ladies see me about my eating and drinking too but I'm not so good with that. Mommy and daddy have to put a tube down my nose into my belly to give me some milk. I hate drinking and eating and I hate the tube too. Sometimes I pull it out because it gets in the way hehe. Mom and dad don't like that though because then they have to put it back in which isn't fun for eveyone. Also, I only have to go to the hospital to see the Dr. every two weeks now which means they don't take as much red stuff from me. But the best new development of all is that I can go OUTSIDE FOR WALKS (in my bubble of course)! Me and mommy go everyday and I get to see all kinds of new things. There are lots of people around and I can see thier faces, it's so exciting. Someday I'll be able to go out without my bubble and maybe even have a party with all my family and friends. YaY!!!!!

Man. What a month! Mommy and Daddy took me to their home two days before Christmas. Well, I guess it's my home now too hehehe. I was used to the hospitals being my home so I was a little scared about going to a new place on the outside! I have to say though, it's a really nice place! Mommy and daddy did a pretty good job of picking out a new and clean home for me to live in. It was all decorated with Christmas stuff and it smelled really good in there. There was a way bigger tree than the one I had in my room at the IWK! It was awesome!! One morning I woke up and I got to tear some colourful paper off some boxes. That was so much fun to do! I couldn't care for the box itself, just the paper!! It was really nice to see my nanny and poppy without masks and gowns on for a change. They cant hold me or kiss me but atleast they can talk to me and make me smile and laugh. They brought over a really big box for mommy and daddy! I dont know what it was but I heard poppy say to daddy "good luck setting it up." Daddy just recently set it up while I was sleeping in the afternoon. He was saying some bad words but I think it was at all the men with helmets on the tv. He likes to yell at them every Sunday! Especially the two men named Pat. He's always saying "I hate those Pats!" But he says some words I am not allowed to say. Anyway, when he was done setting up the big box it looked like a spaceship! It wasnt aspaceship though. Does a BBQ make any sense to anyone? Those three letters might be code for whatever it was, I will just call it a spaceship!! I have been going back to the hospital every week for checkups. The doctors and nurses say I look really good and am doing really well! We have been travelling in uncle Andrew's car because mommy and daddy gave their Jeep machine to another man. I heard daddy say that he bought a new vehicle though so I will get to ride in it on Thursday for my checkup! Yayyyyyy! Okay so it's been a busy month for mommy, daddy and me but we are all doing well! mommy and daddy promise that they are going to try and keep up with helping me write this story. I'm just a little boy, I can't do it alone and there are people who love me and want to know how I'm doing! Thanks for reading everyone and keep checking each week!

Monday December 19th 2011

Well not too much is happening here at the IWK. Most of the day I just sit around with mommy and play. Sometimes I have friends that come in to play with me but they make me do all kinds of exercises. I'd rather watch TV and lay on my back then do pushups on my belly. I get lots of red stuff taken from me still, usually twice a week. We are waiting to get a test back that tells us if my lymphocytes are working and hopefully tomorrow we will find out. My cell counts were doing really well until I got sick with my poop and now they all have dropped. Mommy and daddy are very worried because they are afraid I will have to get another transplant but I know that if everyone keeps praying for me and sending me positive energy that things will turn around. I'm having some problems with eating again too. I just don't like to eat or drink anything. The doctors said once I stop my medicine for my yucky poop that I should start feeling better but I dunno we will see. People are telling me that Christmas is coming soon and that a man wearing red will come to see me and bring me presents. I think he came early though because I saw a man through my window last week waving at me and he brought me a storybook. I really don't need any gifts though, I'd rather just have some lymphocytes so I can go home with mommy and daddy. They tell me it's really nice there and I will like it alot. Anythings got to be better then this place.

Mommy has been hibernating for the winter and hasn't had time to help me write in this blog so daddy is helping me! He says that I should tell everyone that I have been doing pretty good for someone who was very sick just a few months ago. I guess daddy spent his birthday driving a truck from one hospital to another. He and mommy rented a truck because there were no planes for them to use and they had a lot of things to bring back to Halifax with them. I took the same plane back to Halifax as I did going to Montreal but I left the day after mommy and daddy because they drove. I spent the night at the hospital with just the nurses so needless to say I really missed mommy and daddy but I still had fun. I reallysdsgvfvdhdfhasuygu ,l;dlkdjhA dad!! Stop that! Daddy just mashed all the keys when I was trying to type! He's so silly! Mommy and daddy have a new apartment now. It's close to the hospital so mommy and daddy go back and forth from there to here. One night mommy stays with me and the next night daddy does. Dad must be working again now because some mornings he leaves really early and hes wearing fancy clothes with a big hat! I know how big the hat is because he put it on my head one day and it covered my face! Mommy says he looks dreamy in his uniform. I dont know what the means but when she says it she drools just like I do sometimes! When daddy goes to work I spend a lot of time with mommy because its just the two of us for most of the day. I get really excited to see my dad when he comes home though, I really love my dad! Daddy says that people tell him we lohbjfbdv v kdsol,;']LNSa[ dad!! As I was saying people say we look the same so maybe I will be dreamy too someday? Daddy says as long as I dont get a hairline like poppy and most of daddy's friends then I should be a good looking boy! I hope so! Anyway, the only thing bad to tell everyone is that I have a problem with my poop. I guess it's called CDif. Mommy and daddy are worried but I feel pretty good. Daddy was supposed to go away to see my godfather Josh this weekend but he stayed here because of my poop! Thats a pretty good daddy to stick around for stinky poop! I have a new line thingy in my chest now. The last one came out a bit so they took it out all the way and put in a different one called a port-a-cath. This one should be a good one and stay on for a while. I was sleeping the whole time that they put it in. When I woke up mommy and daddy weren't around but then they came to see me a few minutes later. Mommy was crying before I went to sleep and she cried when I woke up. She cries more than me! Okay well that's all for now! Mommy will help me write again next time! Daddy is asking for everyone to let him know if they read this new post so that he knows people are aware that it's updated!
